Sightseeing around the Island

Here are some more pictures from our visit to Green Island.

Notice the aboriginal village (no longer inhabited, but on a beautiful stretch of beach), caves carved by the ocean and the political prison, previously referenced in a blog.

We had some great food on the Island. This picture is the BBQ. We sat at a table with a sunken grill of hot coals. We selected the items we wanted from a giant cooler- everything you can imagine- chicken hearts, fish, shrimp, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, tofu, bacon, chicken, pork, beef, and lots more. Then we cooked and ate the fruits of our labors, wrapped in our toasted white bread or not. Note copious amounts of Taiwanese beer.
