Reunion Lodge Update

Hi Everyone! If you are not in our family yet, there are still some unmarrieds in the Hollyer clan, but you'll have to hurry the nuptials since the reunion is in 10 days. If you're in the family, but not coming, we'll miss you. If you're not in the family and not at all interested, please skip this email and check back in a few days. I promise that most of my blogs won't be so family specific.

Today we went out to Tom and Jan's Lodge to visit and check it out. They have both been working their hearts out and also have hired lots of crew to continue right on up to the reunion. The "cabins" are beautiful- they have completely gutted and rebuilt the 4 of them. They have tongue and groove wood walls, ceiling fans, lovely modern kitchens and the loving detail that Tom and Jan have put into them is unbelievable. Tom has been building some of the furniture himself and there is wood in the cabins from the nearby woods. There will even be rocking chairs on the porch!

The lodge is warm and comfy with a pool table, fireplace, cushioned chairs, a modern well-equipped kitchen, a large porch overlooking the lake and lots of clusters of tables and chairs.

The lake has a newly built dock thanks to Tom and Phillip and a raft for swimming. It has good sized bass and pike (see the pictures above) as well as sunfish and bluegill. There are picnic tables and benches, Adirondack chairs and lots and lots of lots of grass and woods.

If you're camping, there is a plug in and hose for you (see picture above). If you're in the cabin, everything for your comfort is in there including bedding and towels. If you are cooking (and this means everyone under the age of 68), the kitchen is complete and there is a large grill. Today it was 80 degrees in Northville, but felt comfortable in the shade under the trees.

Tom and Jan, you are unbelieveable! Enjoy the pictures! See you soon!
