Our yard is looking pretty good, just in time to leave. The lettuce and beans, sown right into the garden soil, are already coming up. We scattered wildflower seeds along the outside perimeter of the fence. Our rhubarb and delphinium are coming up hardy and fast. The eggplant and tomato plants have flowers on them. Unlike pets, plants are self supporting so we can get them, enjoy them and still leave them to their own devices while we hike.
