So, where have I been? This quick posting from Northville, Michigan is just a brief overview. Pictures and more details will follow when I'm back in Fairbanks.
I hiked in the Grand Canyon from Feb 2-14....what a stretch of my skills! For some strange reason, I thought the hike(s) would mean going down into the canyon, hiking along a river, then hiking back up. Oh, was I wrong! It was fantastic, but also, a tremendous amount of work.
I just returned from a road trip with my parents from Detroit to Duluth, MN and back. It is about 700 miles each way. The weather was great, but it's snowing right now.
I head to Chicago by train in the morning (shout-out to Mike- thanks for the ride!). I'll be spending a few days there with Erin and Ron (expecting a baby in September!). Back in Fairbanks on February 28 and out to Emmonak the next day. Life in the fast lane!
