Erin woke up out of a sound sleep at 6 am with a contraction. It's now 5:30 pm and she's having strong, painful contractions, but not at regular intervals and probably not very productive. It makes one ponder, not only the process of birth, but also the miracle. How IS he going to get out of there?
She can't get comfortable in spite of her affirmations audiotape, 9 possible positions as taught by a DVD, advice of a doula, birth partner and midwife and a wide range of food, drink, pillow, furniture, location choices. I guess comfort does not go hand in hand with giving birth. Get 'er done.
