We finally got off our duffs and got out walking today. First we went to Lulu's for coffee and cinnamon rolls (about 2.5 miles total). The temps were very moderate, about 15, so we were encouraged enough to drive downtown and walk home. The snow was gently falling and it was just crisp enough to redden our cheeks. We walked the 5 miles home and drove back to pick up our abandoned car. Our calves are screaming tonight after pulling along our winter boots.
I bought some plastic tubs of supplies to take out to villages, so today I got to drill holes in the lids and sides for bike locks. Anyone with time and energy would just cut the plastic, but the locks are a deterrent to basketball teams who want to sleep on the mattress or use the spoons. The tub of "staples" should reduce packing needs.
Dinner tonight was seafood chowder and homemade bread. We also enjoyed planning our PCT hike, Christmas shopping ideas and upcoming visit with our kids. Life is good. Really, really good.
