Sun is shining down here willing me to go out, but I have to be cautious because I am quarantining. Have you ever tried avoiding a 6 year old who really, really has something to tell you?

Locals tell me that the salmonberries are ripe but the raspberries are over. Apparently it's a long boat ride to the blueberries, cranberries and salmonberries, but the high bush cranberries are all over. Unfortunately, they are the ones that smell bad. They still make good jams and muffins with enough sugar. In a non-pandemic year, we'd be picking them as a class and doing some experiments. But sadly, not this year.

I identified a white crowned sparrow flitting around the playground. I start work tomorrow so my world will be focused on teaching. I'll do what I can on the blog though.
