Breakfast in Bed

I was awakened by another earthquake this morning. It turns out that the earthquakes of late have emanated from an area by Ester (about 6 miles from here). I felt 2 good ones (about 3 on the Richter scale) in the movie theater last night.

Last night, we went to dinner at the David Salmon Tribal Hall for $8 dinners- ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn on the cob, veggies, roll with the proceeds to go to a dedicated fund at the Red Cross for Yukon River flood victims.
Then, we went to see the movie Angels and Demons with Susan and George. I was prepared not to like the movie, but I did in spite of myself. Three things I really liked: Tom Hanks did not have a romantic liaison with the much younger and very pretty female lead, he also did not get converted to Catholicism, and the movie highlighted some beautiful churches in Rome and the Vatican. Three things that seemed bogus: The physicist could answer all questions about anything science ranging from poisons to anti-matter and spoke Latin, all the angel statues were pointing in obvious directions to the next church, Tom Hanks knew just where to look in the Vatican Library for answers. Shout out to Logan: Happy 21st birthday! We had fun without you!

I stopped by the Relay for Life event last night and hobnobbed with some Bosom Buddies. It was great fun with a positive flavor in spite of a serious topic- cancer. I'll be walking there today for several hours.

I believe my fatigue and muscle aches were from the Lipitor. As it turns out, not only are muscle aches a side effect, but so is fatigue and liver problems. If I am cured, we will get back on the Appalachian Trail and finish this season. We finally talked about missing the trail and decided to go back. We would consider it a thru-hike, even with this long hiatus, if we finished in one season.

We finished planting the garden this morning- just in time for cold temps and wind.

I had time to download this video, so I did, in anticipation of this posting. It's up for an Academy award-best short documentary, so enjoy. By the way, I'm wearing an orange base layer, just in case you wonder. The action speaks for itself.
