Poo Dirt

I picked up 2 loads of compost from Golden Heart Utilities and Paul put them in furrows in anticipation of warming up and planting. GHU is the sewer/water plant and makes compost from processed and mixed human waste...the ultimate recycle- poo, compost, plant, harvest, eat, poo, etc..... It is scrutinized for heavy metals and is lower than most purchased composts.

We're planting lettuce, carrots, peppers, beans, green onions, bok choi, eggplant, broccoli, cabbage and potatoes. We also have tomatoes, rhubarb and strawberries. This is fairly optimistic because we have not had great luck with a veggy garden.

Continuing the videos from our Appalachian Trail hike, this is a river crossing of the James River. The James River goes miles and miles across Virginia to the delta by Jamestown. It's a beautiful river and we crossed it on a great day.
