What a lazy day! Paul and I slept in, then walked to Lulu's for a cinnamon roll and coffee while we read the paper. We checked out Lowe's and ordered windows for egress for the apartment we are putting in our basement. They will be here in 5 weeks, just when the weather is getting cool.
The clothes on the line took forever to dry and it's now raining outside. This is a good day to hunker down with some comfort food (baked potato and halibut?) and read a good book. Wish I had one!
The grocery store didn't bring any inspiration either. We stocked up on fruit (nectarines, grapes and oranges) that were all on sale. We have plenty of food- it seems strange to have so much choice in the cupboard and fridge after months of eating out of a small bag.
We finished the evening by looking at Paul's videos from the hike. They were fun and we had a little nostalgia, but no regrets. His rib still keeps him awake at night and I'm looking ahead to next year.
Sue and I are going to Valdez on Tuesday. That's something to look forward to. Also, tomorrow I'll be busy doing paid work- maybe not as fun, but busy nonetheless.

I heard you were going to open a bed and breakfast at that 425 Fairbanks St. lot, catering to down-and-outs and Asian tourists with consulting from you son. But just an apartment, eh?
