I got up way too early due to a residual jet lag. It was raining so I paid the bills and did laundry while the deluge faded away.
I drove over to Cabin #2 and met Matt. I picked up a bagful of trash, gifted by the previous tenant. I still need to go back and pull another bagful from the woods. The raspberries are ripe and tasty right now so my wet cuffs were worth the effort.
The roof and lawn had dried enough for some work. I climbed up on the roof and cleaned out the gutters since it will rain again. Then I mowed the lawn and pulled (partially) chickweed from the flower beds.
I drove out to catch up on news from Sandy. Her yard was beautiful with flowers and veggies. I particularly liked the Maltese Falcon perennials.
I've started my work as a Math Content Coach. I'm working on aligning some math programs with state standards. I've also made reservations to go to Arctic Village and Venetie on August 9. Summer is ending too soon!
