The past two days have been more productive. I ended up weed-whacking the fenceline and picking the blossoms off of the potato plants. Yesterday and most of today was a "no car" day and I rode my bike on my rounds- haircut, grocery store, Value Village (where I bought a beautiful $5 blouse). The clothes dried themselves on the line and I finally swept the broken branches off the porch.
Tonight was a fun party by the river for my friend and colleague, Bjorn, now happily remarried and living in Norway. About 20 people came to see him and the desserts were great. I also had lunch with Sue (salad here at home) and coffee with Tony. All in all, a very social and sociable day.
It's 10:15 and the sunlight is low on the horizon making the leaves glow. The cooler nights are already happening, reminding me that summer is really disappearing fast. I can't let a single minute pass tomorrow without relishing it.
